School Notes   

  • Thanks to all who came to the “Why Behind Asbury” family night.  Everyone shared their stories and it was a very fun night with good food and good company.
  • Grades 3-5 – Sign up for Jump Rope Club with Mr. Howard – Information is coming home today.  
  • Canned food Drive Begins on January 27.  See flyer below
  • Smartwatches that have the ability to text and/or email must be turned into the office at the beginning of the day.  We have noticed that many students are now wearing them.
  • Over the Holiday break, DPS’s Technology department upgraded Asbury’s security system and installed a new doorbell/camera at the courtyard office door. However, it has now been moved to the “Front” door on Asbury Ave. (Where the buses pick up).  This is where parents will ring to pick up students from Discovery Link.    
  • Important Reminder: In order to promote independence, please drop your student off in the office if they are late. If you decide to accompany them- ALL visitors, parents, etc. MUST sign in at the office. 
  • The Talent Show is February 11 from 2:00-3:00. Permission slips are due tomorrow, Friday, January 24th. Permission slips are on the website or in the office. Auditions are Tuesday, January 28th. 
  • Make sure you have registered for the Kids Heart Challenge.  Here is the link to sign up! We don’t want you to miss out!  Ask your friends and family to help you take the Kids Heart Challenge.  Watch your Deets, Facebook, and Instagram for more information.

  • Ticket quantities are limited, so sales will end once we’re sold out. Only 14 tickets are left for the hockey game on Friday 1/31!
