Enrichment Activities

At Asbury, we believe that education benefits from enrichment beyond the classroom. Below you will find our current enrichment offerings and information regarding upcoming classes.

Upcoming Classes

Art Fun for Kids:

Enlightened art, painting, drawing, high-quality crafts and fun! Join Art Fun for a different project every week and let your child express themselves with tangible art.

Fall Session: Starts September 10th; Mondays from 3:15-5:15pm


Band with Mrs. Brunnschweiler:

Sign your fourth or fifth grader up to learn how to play their chosen instrument. Instrument rentals are available. Band meets Tuesday mornings from 7:30-8:15 and Thursday afternoons from 3:15-4:15 starting September 18th for fourth grade and new members, or October 2nd for returning band members.


BeyBlade Club:

A group of third grade boys created this club earlier this school year to share their love of BeyBlades with the rest of the school! Join them on Tuesdays to learn how to battle BayBlades in arenas and see some cool, top-spinning action.

Bricks 4 Kidz:

Bricks 4 Kidz is a hands-on enrichment that allows children to master hand-eye coordination and inventive thinking. Students use architecture and engineering principles, learn concepts across a variety of subject areas, and develop teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills. Chess Wizards:

Allow your child to grow their logic and problem-solving skills with the age-old game of chess! Chess Wizards encourages students to make new friends and use their brain. Details in the flier below.

Fall Session: September 24th, October 1st, October 8th, October 29th, November 5th, November 12th, November 26th, December 3rd, December 10th; Mondays from 3:15-4:15.

Clay Play:

Clay Play offers children the chance to get hands-on experience working with the magical medium of clay with professional potter, Jessica Decker-Smith. Kids will do a variety of projects letting them explore many aspects of pottery-making including: hand-building, coil-building, slab-building, texture, clay manipulation and addition, decorating, glazing and more!

Club Amigos:

Club Amigos is Colorado’s premier Spanish enrichment program! Whether your student has no Spanish experience or has Spanish skills already, this fun-filled class is sure to strengthen their language skills. More information can be found at Club Amigos.

Do you have a Drama Queen or King on your hands? Look no further than KidStage to get those wiggles out! Students are tasked with auditioning for parts in their play and learning lines, building their character and mastering their parts.   Go to the KidStage website to register today!

Running Eagles:

Join Mrs. Magoffin and Ms. Stephenson for some running fun!  Students are encouraged to join the Running Eagles on Wednesdays to get some fresh air and go for a run! Kindergarteners through fifth graders are invited to embrace running, develop healthy minds and bodies, and establish friendships across all grades.

Science Matters:

Join Science Matters for a fun look into archeology in this Digging for Dinosaurs class! Students get hands-on in the science lab, so be ready to get dirty. Go to the Science Matters website to register today!

Your child can learn how to shred on a skateboard with the help of SkateStart! Students are encouraged to work on style and perfect tricks on specially-created skateboards that show newbies the correct foot placement, and helmets are provided.

Sticky Fingers:

Much as the title says, get your kiddo ready to get messy and make some delicious treats! Sticky Fingers allows children to work in a kitchen and discover new flavors, all while building cooking skills and friendships! Every class has a new meal to make, so be sure not to miss this awesome enrichment. Go to the Sticky Fingers website for more information.

Yoga with Ms. Werner:

Join Ms. Werner for yoga! Kindergarten through 2nd grade meet on Wednesdays and 3rd through 5th meet on Tuesdays. Sign your child up to connect their mind with their body and find some balance.

Young Rembrandts:

Join Young Rembrandts for drawing and cartooning classes on Fridays from 3:15-4:25. Encourage your students love of art and help them develop their drawing skills! Enroll online at Young Rembrandts.
