At Asbury, we believe that education benefits from enrichment beyond the classroom. Below you will find our current enrichment offerings and information regarding upcoming classes.
Sign your fourth or fifth grader up to learn how to play their chosen instrument. Instrument rentals are available. Band meets Tuesday mornings from 7:30-8:15 and Thursday afternoons from 3:15-4:15. Please check the fliers below for further information on this musical enrichment.
A group of third grade boys created this club earlier this school year to share their love of Beyblades with the rest of the school! Join them on Tuesdays to learn how to battle Bayblades in arenas and see some cool, top-spinning action.
Bricks 4 Kidz is a hands-on enrichment that allows children to master hand-eye coordination and inventive thinking. Students use architecture and engineering principles, learn concepts across a variety of subject areas, and develop teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills. Do you have a Drama Queen or King on your hands? Look no further than KidStage to get those wiggles out! Students are tasked with auditioning for parts in their play and learning lines, building their character and mastering their parts. Join Mrs. Magoffin and Ms. Stephenson for some running fun! Students are encouraged to join the Running Eagles on Tuesdays to get some fresh air and go for a run! Kindergarteners through fifth graders are invited to embrace running, develop healthy minds and bodies, and establish friendships across all grades.
Much as the title says, get your kiddo ready to get messy and make some delicious treats! Sticky Fingers allows children to work in a kitchen and discover new flavors, all while building cooking skills and friendships! Science Matters will be offering their Science Bloopers and Practical Jokes class from March 9th through April 13th, just in time for April Fools Day! Students will use crazy science to do amazing things and will have hands on experiments in every class. sciencematters.tv
Your child can learn how to shred on a skateboard with the help of SkateStart! Students are encouraged to work on style and perfect tricks on specially-created skateboards that show newbies the correct foot placement, and helmets are provided. The next session will start on February 28th.
