Dear Asbury Families,
As you may be aware, we have been using a variety of measures to ensure our school stays open and our students feel comfortable during extremely hot days. Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of students and staff.
I am writing to let you know that we will have an early-release Heat Day tomorrow, Friday, September 1, 2023. We will get out of school at 12:30. All students will have lunch before dismissal.
If your student rides a bus, transportation will pick up from the school at 12:30.
I understand this is short notice, an inconvenience for many of our families, and that childcare may be an issue for some. I am available to answer questions you may have regarding the early-release Heat Day.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school, and I very much appreciate your patience as we successfully navigate through the first few weeks of the school year.
