Dear Asbury Families,
As you may be aware, we have been using a variety of measures to ensure our school stays open and our students feel comfortable during extremely hot days. Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of students and staff.
I am writing to let you know that we will have an early-release Heat Day tomorrow, August 24, 2023. We will get out of school at 12:30. All students will have lunch before dismissal.
If your student rides a bus, transportation will pick up from the school at 12:30.
I understand this is short notice, an inconvenience for many of our families, and that childcare may be an issue for some. I am available to answer questions you may have regarding the early-release Heat Day.
Back to School Night is also going to be postponed to next Thursday, August 31 from 5:00-6:00pm. This is an adults only event. Thank you for planning accordingly. We will send out reminders as the time gets closer.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school, and I very much appreciate your patience as we successfully navigate through the first weeks of the school year.
