Student Council will be hosting a winter themed Spirit Week starting next week! Each day will have a winter based theme that we encourage everyone to participate in!
Spirit Week (December 11-14)
Next week is SPIRIT WEEK sponsored by Student Council. Here is the theme for each day:
Wear your favorite winter colors blue, red, green, yellow, etc.
Wear your favorite winter accessories such as hats,
necklaces, headbands, glasses, boots, scarves, etc.
Wear anything colorful, silly – whatever you like.
Wear your favorite PJs and bring a stuffy.
In addition to this fun information, I wanted to let you all know about an amazing opportunity for 50 families to shop with a Broncos Player! Burt Trembly with the Justin Simmons Foundation reached out to us earlier this week with an opportunity to “Shop with a Bronco” on Friday, December 8th around 6pm at your area Walmart.
We have reached out to 50 families based on certain criteria. Though we know that means that not all families will be able to participate and students will talk about this, we wanted to let you know that this was a limited event and selecting just 50 families was incredibly difficult, but we did not want to pass up on this opportunity. If you talk to anyone who has received this email, please remind them that they need to RSVP with me and send in their shirt size.
What an amazing opportunity for these students at Asbury! If any of you need anything at all, please reach out.
We also have some important information for families in grades 3-5 about the upcoming state testing (CMAS). Below you will find the schedule and parent CMAS night.

The cover should represent Asbury and what is BEST about being an eagle at Asbury. They are due on Friday December 8th. Please turn them in to Ms. Baca in the office. Winner will be announced at the end of the day on December 8, 2023.
Safe2Tell
Safe2Tell provides students, parents, and community members a safe and anonymous way to report information about any issues that concern their safety or the safety of others. Safe2Tell’s reporting process is simple. Call 1.877.542.7233 or fill out a form on the website (Safe2Tell.org) or mobile app. It was founded on the premise that students need an additional resource to break the code of silence and report when sharing with a trusted adult is too challenging. When submitting reports online, it is important to wait and engage in a conversation with the analyst in order to relay as much information as possible. You do not need to have all the details to make a report. Safe2Tell is the go between or middleman in order to get information from a reporter to the appropriate local school and law enforcement personnel. Safe2Tell does not investigate reports.

As a reminder, If students have boots, they are welcome to play in the field or on the playground unless it is icy- so send students with boots. If you need boots, we have a few extra pairs students can wear. Now that the weather is changing please send students with coats, gloves as we try to have outdoor recess as much as possible.
