Dear Asbury Community,

Save the Date!

Save the Date – Asbury’s 100 Year Celebration – Friday, September 5, 2025

Here’s a link to share your Asbury Story.  Please fill this out!!  Anyone who is affiliated with Asbury.  Please share the word on the save the date and also share the link to this too.

Thank you so much for supporting our amazing March events at Asbury. We were so proud of our students for showing bravery to participate in the Spelling Bee and Talent Show. We also loved seeing our scholars read their hearts out during Read-A-thon and solve so many math problems during March Mathness. These events are a special part of Asbury and we would love to hear your feedback about what makes these events special for your family and also any opportunities that we can grow and improve. Please click on the link below to share any feedback to better support students next year.

In Partnership,

Jeanna Doung

CMAS Information

CMAS testing will start on Monday, April 7 for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.

Parent Information Letter

Hello 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade families,

Hoping that by now you know that CMAS will start on Monday, 4/7.  Here is the calendar/information letter that was shared for the past few weeks.

Parent Information for CMAS Calendar

In order for students to be able to be ready and do their BEST, please help with the following:

  • help them get a good night’s sleep each night
  • make sure they eat a good breakfast at home or at school each morning
  • have them arrive at school ON TIME
  • be sure they have working WIRED headphones (bluetooth are not allowed) – if they need to purchase a new pair, they can bring $5 into Ms. Baca and she will sell them a pair

We are also asking for donations of snacks for our students who may need them during the two weeks of testing – ie. granola bars, small individual bags of pretzels, goldfish, crackers, chips, anything individually wrapped (not cookies or candy!) and not sticky/messy!  If you wish to donate, please bring them to Ms. Baca in the office.  Thank you in advance!!

Please reach out if you have any questions.  The kids are prepared and are going to do great!  We try to keep it as positive as possible.  They know that we just want them to work hard and do their BEST.  We will have a celebration for all students at the end of the testing window!

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Additionally, if your family brought in a pie or volunteered to support Pi day, we truly appreciate your kindness and generosity to make this day happen.

We recognize that March is a very full month and we truly appreciate all of your time, support, and generosity to make these events so special. We hope that you all enjoy a well deserved Spring Break.

Volunteers needed – Recess/Lunch Duty during CMAS – Only a few spots left!!!

  • Please help us with lunch/recess duty during our CMAS testing so our teachers and paras can finish their proctoring.  Recess/lunch duty is a fun experience.  We promise!  You will check in at the office when you arrive and then go out to the playground to support our students during recess and then when they are eating lunch.
  • Here is the link to the SIGN UP GENIUS. Thank you in advance.
  • These are two helpful videos (also in the sign up genius) to make your recess/lunch duty experience even better!

Want to shout out your teachers?

  • Here’s a student opportunity for them to give a shout out to their teachers for the upcoming Teacher Appreciation week in May.
  • Pull up this Google Form for your students to fill out for a teacher or teachers at Asbury!
  • Have kids reach out to me if they need a picture of them with their teacher.  I can help them with that.
