Thursday Folders

Principal Message:

Dear Asbury Community,

I want to take a moment to celebrate our amazing before and after school program- Discovery Link! Ronnie and his crew not only show up for students daily, but they go above and beyond! They spend time with students, organizing activities and running a smooth and supportive program at Asbury! We adore all they do for Asbury students and families! If you get a chance, celebrate Discovery Link with me by giving them a shout out!

Also, don’t forget that next week is a busy, fun week- we have so many great events going on- first  is our WOW Art Show and our Dish A Story- if you have not turned in your RSVP and signed up to bring a potluck dish- then get that turned in!  WOW Art Show and Dish a Story is on Tuesday, April 29 starting at 3:30! If you have not attended this event, it is a lot of fun and a great way to connect with one another! We will come together and view the art show entries from our amazing students at Asbury. Then we will join together with a potluck event for all to enjoy!

We also have Spring Wing on Friday, May 2! This is a great, adults only event that brings all of us together on a fun night where we will be able to bid on auction items, enjoy one another company and have fun celebrating Asbury- don’t forget that the theme is Caddyshack- so bring your best golfing attire!

In Partnership,

Jeanna Doung

Principal

The Green Eagles would love to celebrate Earth Month with a special volunteer opportunity in our community! Come help us mulch trees and tidy up Harvard Gulch park. Whether you stay the whole time or just for a bit, every helping hand makes a difference.

This is a great chance to give back to our community that does so much for us, connect with others, and show some love to our local green spaces. All are welcome!

Please sign up in advance Registration Link

Bring your own gloves and a water bottle—supplies will be provided.

Let’s come together to make our Earth (and our community!) a little greener.

Nominate Mrs Magoffin to throw the first pitch at a Rockies Game!

(Keep it as much of a secret as you can!)

Details and the form can be found here. Contact Tillie Batesmith with any questions. Thank you!

Soccer Goal Request

Does anyone have a pop up soccer goal similar to the size of the one we have at school currently.  Would like to borrow it around May 8 for our Carnival Winners’ Staff vs. Student Soccer game.  Please reach out to Amy Ravel or Nicole Johnsen.  Amy_Ravel@dpsk12.net or Nicole_Johnsen@dpsk12.net

Plus, Mr. Howard has set up a Donors Choose Project to try and raise money to purchase a second soccer goal.  The first one has been a HUGE success.  Just ask the grass in front of it!!  Please consider a donation.  Every little $1, $5, $10 counts!

Here’s the donation link – https://www.donorschoose.org/project/score-big-help-our-students-hit-their-g/9180446/?utm_source=dc&utm_medium=directlink&utm_campaign=ifproject&utm_term=unknown&rf=directlink-dc-2025-04-ifproject-unknown
