School Notes   

  • It only took three weeks but the LOST AND FOUND is packed again.   Please come in and check.

All will again be donated BEFORE President’s Day weekend.

  • Canned Food Drive – Students bring your donations to your classroom so they can be counted.

It runs through February 13.   All donations benefit the Asbury Backpack Program.

  • Over the Holiday break, DPS’s Technology Department upgraded Asbury’s security system and installed a new doorbell/camera at the courtyard office door. However, it has now been moved to the “Front” door on Asbury Ave. (Where the buses pick up).  This is where parents will ring to pick up students from Discovery Link.    
  • Important Reminder: In order to promote independence, please drop your student off in the office if they are late. If you decide to accompany them- ALL visitors, parents, etc. MUST sign in at the office.
  • Make sure you have registered for the Kids Heart Challenge.  Here is the link to sign up! We don’t want you to miss out!  Ask your friends and family to help you take the Kids Heart Challenge.  Watch your Deets, Facebook, and Instagram for more information.
  • It is planning time for next school year and the office needs to know if your child is not going to attend Asbury next year for whatever reason.   Please let either the teacher or the office know.

Read-A-Thon

  • Our annual Read-A-Thon will begin in March, but we’re already getting started on the planning. If you would like to help with this great literacy event, please email asbury.ptso@gmail.com. 

DU Sporting Events

  • Purchase tickets online at asbury-dutickets.cheddarup.com and they will be sent home with your student. 
  • Hockey game tickets are sold out.
  • Tickets are still available for the Men’s Basketball Game on Thursday, 2/20 and the Women’s Gymnastics Meet on Sunday 3/8.
  • Ticket quantities are limited, so sales will end once we’re sold out.  

Save the Date for Spring Wing

  • Our annual adults-only fundraiser and party will be on May 2, 2020.
