This year the PTA was able to accomplish so much with everyone’s help….! We sponsored many school events this past year aimed at strengthening the Asbury community:
· the Back to School Social
· Carnival
· Multicultural Night
· Reading Night
· Denver Symphony Night
· Family Fun Run.
In addition we sponsored a parent education event, Parenting Safe Children.
We raised $23,650.40 for Asbury! This money was and will be used to
pay for:
· art portfolio books for new students
· the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) program
· teacher supplies
· books for the library
· salary support for a paraprofessional in the earlier grades
· salary support for an ESL paraprofessional
· a special education paraprofessional
· a counselor
We received two grants from the CDE Nutritional Unit and Get in the Action. These grants allowed Asbury to have a Get Into Action healthy day event, host two Cooking Matters classes and bring yoga, core power and a running club to Asbury.
We provided the school directory at no cost and the yearbook at a minimal cost to families. ……..Wow!
Goodbye ……… The Asbury PTA would like to wish Anita Theriot and Rosanne Horn a happy retirement and all the best in their future endeavors! We will miss you both greatly and would like to thank you for your unending dedication to Asbury.

What does PTA do?
The Asbury PTA donates money, resources, and time to help make our school even better than it already is. Donations are used for school events, for paraprofessionals, treats for teacher throughout the year and for purchasing laptops. We also purchased the ECE playground equipment in the schoolyard.
Please consider become a PTA member. PTA allows families to be involved and to stay informed. You do not need to attend monthly meetings as a PTA member, but if you would like to, they are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm in the school auditorium. We welcome everyone and child care is provided.
